ASEAN S&T Competitiveness Indicators 2004

The report is the result of a two-year cooperative effort between ASEAN, the Republic of Korea and the participating countries of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos DPR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam. The main objective was to support the participants in improving their capacity to collect and publish Science and Technology Competitiveness Indicators. To accomplish this, the project focussed on establishing or improving two sources of data: data on research and development in accordance with the OECD’s Frascati Manual and the data required in computing the Technological Competitiveness Profiles in the World Competitiveness Yearbook by IMD.
