The 2nd Technical Task Force Meeting on the Establishment of Monitoring Networks of the Tsunami Early Warning System in ASEAN

The 2nd Technical Task Force (TTF) Meeting on the Establishment of Monitoring Networks of the Tsunami Early Warning System in ASEAN was held in Brunei Darussalam, 4-5 April 2006 and hosted by the Department of Civil Aviation, Brunei Meteorological Service

The Meeting aimed to discuss the coordination of national plans for Tsunami Early Warning System and requirements for an optimized regional monitoring network.

As the follow-up of the 1st TTF Meeting on the Establishment of Monitoring Networks of the Tsunami Early Warning System in ASEAN, held in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, 20-21 July 2005, several modes of data exchange between Member Countries have been identified and put on trial. This Meeting is proposed to further discuss the interoperability issues and updates on the mechanisms of the existing data exchange modes.
