Geoinformatics specialists from ASEAN Countries and Pakistan will meet at the ASEAN-Pakistan Geoinformatics Workshop in Islamabad, Pakistan, on 10-12 September 2007. The Workshop aims to share information and experience on Geoinformatics between ASEAN and Pakistan as well as to establish linkages between space technology institutions in ASEAN and the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere and Research Commission (SUPARCO) for Human Resource Development and Resource and Development cooperation in Geoinformatics. Joint activities to be implemented in the future is also expected to be discussed during the Workshop.

The Workshop will be hosted by SUPARCO and inaugurated by H.E. Khusro Bakhtyar, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Pakistan. Further information about the Workshop can be obtained from the following:
