15th National Children’s Science Congress 2007, 27-31 December 2007, Vidya Paratishthan, Baramati, India (uploaded on 10 January 2008) The National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) is an annual forum providing the children from all over India and neighboring countries with a unique opportunity to build their scientific temperament and knowledge. The NCSC 2007 was successfully held on 27-31 December 2007 at Vidya Paratishthan, Baramati, India. The Congress was officially opened by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Former President of India and honored by Agriculture Minister Shri Sharadchandra Pawar and Science and Technology Minister Shri. Kapil Sibal. Among the 2000 students and teachers participating in the Congress, 43 were from ASEAN countries consisting of 26 students, 10 teachers and 7 officials. A number of activities were held during the events such as 1) technical presentations of selected science projects by Indian and ASEAN students 2) poster presentation by child scientists 3) activity corner 4) face-to-face with eminent scientists 5) video conference with national and international scientists and Noble laureates 6) teacher science workshop and 7) exhibition and science interactive sessions by various researcher institutes. There were more than 650 presentations made by the students and teachers both from India and ASEAN Countries. ASEAN had 10 presentations by students and one presentation by a teacher. They all received appreciation by the Indian participants. In addition, there was an exhibition featuring posters by child scientists and from various industries. Various Congress programs were televised on local and regional channels and broadcasted by community radio stations. Dates associated with this event No associated dates for this event.
